ANNOUNCEMENT: The coding love got redesigned, now with infinite scroll

Hello World, it’s time for me to bring you great news!

As you may have noticed, The coding love recently got a nice redesign, which puts more emphasis on the content and should result in shorter loading times when browsing.

I am also thrilled to let you know that a great feature, which has been requested for a long time, comes with this change: infinite scrolling!

Improving the user experience on the website has always been one of my main concerns, and such a cool feature will allow you to roll over all the latest gifs from the front page in an easier way, may it be on desktop or mobile.

Reducing page load times is as challenging as you may imagine when your website’s main content is mostly based on gifs, one of the heaviest formats for pictures. A few months ago, I went from only using the gif format to switching the website’s content to WebM and MP4 video formats. It resulted in an incredible size reduction and made way for bringing infinite scrolling on The coding love today.

I hope you guys will enjoy this new way of browsing The coding love as much as I do! I look forward to hearing your feedback on this new version, please feel free to send me a message through the Facebook page.

Scroll on, people!
